Humanitarian delivery of ultra-sound and anaesthesiology machines

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended today ceremony of marking the 230th anniversary of Clinical – hospital centre Zemun, the oldest hospital in Serbia and delivered very valuable humanitarian aid. HRH Crown Prince Alexander II was awarded with special medal by Prof. Dr Dragos Stojanovic, director of Clinical centre Zemun.

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katharine have delivered very valuable medical equipment, Pro sound 2 ultra sound machine, Aloka – Hitachi, for examination of newborn babies and Fabius premium Draeger machine for anesthesiology for operation room. Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine are continuing noble tradition of Karadjordjevic Royal family and Her Majesty Queen Maria who was also great benefactor of Zemun Hospital and many other health institutions in Serbia.

In his address, HRH Crown Prince Alexander II has emphasized: “My wife and I very pleased to be with you here today, as we mark the two hundred and thirtieth anniversary of the oldest medical institution in Serbia, Clinical Center Zemun. The spirit of history is woven into it and we are today with great respect remembering all those who for more than two centuries have treated people, giving themselves selflessly. I am very proud that the humanitarian foundation of my wife cooperates with you on this mission. I congratulate you on this great jubilee and wish you to bravely continue through the third century of this hospital’s existence. Continue your mission of providing quality health care services for the benefit of all our citizens“.

This extraordinary jubilee was also attended by HE Prof. Dr. Slavica Djukic – Dejanovic, Minister of health in the technical Government, representatives of the Ministry of health and Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Academician Nikola Hajdin, president of Serbian Academy of sciences and arts (SASA), His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remeziana, Muhamed ef. Jusufspahic, Mufti of Serbia, Isak Asiel, great Rabbi of Serbia, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Bumbasirevic, rector of University of Belgrade, Prof. Dr. Miljko Ristic, director of Clinical centre of Serbia, Dr. Zlatibor Loncar, director of Emergency centre, Prof. Dr. Sanja Milenkovic, deputy director of Clinical centre Zemun, members of diplomatic corps, representatives of medical faculties and many other distinguished guests.

HRH Crown Prince Foundation so far reconstructed a mammography unit at the Oncology Department, delivered ICU Hospital beds for the Cardiology Department, deliver an incubator as well as equipment for Neonatal Intensive care Units.
