Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine today mark the thirtieth wedding anniversary. The best man at the wedding of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine was the Greek King Constantine, and the witness Prince Tomislav.
For a time after the wedding, they lived in London and from July 2001 they have been living in the Royal Palace in Belgrade, the home that was built by the Crown Prince’s grandfather King Alexander I.
When they met in 1984, Crown Prince Alexander knew that Katherine was the woman next to whom he wanted to spend his whole life. The feeling was mutual. Shortly after the first meeting they decided to formalize their relationship. Mutual respect and trust, as well as joint efforts through various humanitarian activities to help people in Serbia have strengthened their love.
Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine emphasize love and mutual respect as the greatest value in their marriage, pointing out that they enjoy spending time and working together, and as their greatest achievement they consider bringing up their children together and coming back to the homeland, as well as the fact that their love is equally strong today as it was in the beginning.
As some of their common objectives in the forthcoming period Their Royal Highnesses emphasize the desire to spend their lives together and take care of each other. To see how their children create their own families and careers, to be happy and work for the good of their country and their people.
Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine emphasize they are grateful to God that He blessed them with wonderful children, wonderful grandchildren and many friends around the world. They are very happy and blessed with the love of our people to whom they are fully committed, and there is nothing they would not do for their people and their country.
