“This project is very close to my heart and I’m so happy that this is another much needed neonatal screening hearing equipment we delivered recently. After Narodni Front Hospital, we are here today in the Clinical Center and this is not the end. With the tests of this equipment we can avoid having additional sign language children. It is a very simple examination, lasting for just a few minutes. This examination is a must and all the babies need to be checked before they leave the hospital. By discovering the deafness at birth the child can be helped immediately and be helped by the experts and will grow with the ability to hear like every other child born without hearing problem. My husband Crown Prince Alexander and I will continue to follow the needs of hospitals in Serbia and help them as much as we can”, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine”.

Professor Nenad Arsovic, director of the Clinic for Otorhinolaryngology and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Clinical Center of Serbia thanked to HRH Crown Princess Katherine, her Foundation and Lifeline New York for this valuable donation. HRH Crown Princess Katherine’s goal is to achieve that no baby will leave a hospital without this important test in the future.
