Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine hosted today a traditional “Ladies Lunch” in honor of March 8 – International Women’s Day, at the Royal Palace in Belgrade. Crown Princess Katherine organized the lunch for the ladies senior officials, the wives of senior Serbian officials, ladies ambassadors, wives of ambassadors, representatives of international organizations in Serbia and other distinguished ladies.
Crown Princess Katherine and TRH’s daughter Alison welcomed the distinguished guests and emphasized the importance of the support from the present ladies when it comes to humanitarian actions and projects aimed at improving women’s health.
“On this day I call upon all ladies to be united in promoting humanitarian activities and doing our best to make our environment better and more beautiful. On this occasion, let me announce the traditional Easter Bazaar of women refugees, as well as a reception for more than 1,000 children without parental care, and invite you to join in order to help these vulnerable groups. My foundation will make a big step forward this year because it is in preparing a major project within which we will provide our hospitals with medical equipment that will be brought in special containers from the United States, thanks to our donors”, said Crown Princess Katherine.
Among the distinguished guests were HE Mrs. Maja Gojkovic, Speaker of the Parliament of Serbia, H.E. Mrs. Julia Feeney, Ambassador of Australia, HE Mrs. Adela Mayra Ruiz Garcia, Ambassador of Cuba, HE Mrs. Narinder Chauhan, Ambassador of India, HE Mrs. Alona Fisher Kamm, Ambassador of Israel, HE Dr. Vera Jovanovska-Tipko, Ambassador of Macedonia.
