The Crown Prince is a very ardent defender of democracy and
human rights.
His Royal Highness met very often with the democratic opposition and voiced
support domestically and international for them. Since 1989 to rally opposition
against the regime of Slobodan Milosevic Crown Prince Alexander decided to put
pressure on the regime in helping his people shake off the legacy of decades of
dictatorship and remove Slobodan Milosevic.
The Crown Prince conducted concentrated meetings and maintained regular contact
with the democratic opposition and democrats throughout the former Yugoslavia.
In November 1999 the Crown Prince convened a large conference in Budapest for
the Democratic Opposition to greatly intensify opposition against the regime.
In January 2000 another symposium took place in Banja Luka Bosnia.
In April 2000, the Crown Prince convened a large key conference in Athens that
proved to be paramount for the democratic opposition.
The Crown Prince has been a tireless contributor in the process of cooperation
and unity amongst the political parties to make his homeland a great democracy
for all citizens regardless of political belief, religion or ethnic origin.
