DENISE HALE MEETS HER SCHOLARS FROM
THE UNIVERSITY OF KRAGUJEVAC
Belgrade, 29 May 2007 – Dear friend of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine, Ms. Denise Hale visited Belgrade in May 2007 and during her stay met 12 students of the University of Kragujevac who received “Denise Hale Scholarship” last year for exceptional success.
Students from Kragujevac were accompanied by Ms. Olga Stankovic from the University of Kragujevac who expressed her gratitude to Their Royal Highnesses and Ms. Denise Hale on behalf of the Rector of the University of Kragujevac Prof. Dr. Milos Djuran.
All the students were delighted to meet Ms. Denise Hale and personally thank her for providing them with significant financial support which most of them used for purchasing computer or additional equipment needed, or for travelling which they could not afford without scholarship.
Ms. Denise Hale said to students that she feels privileged for being able to help them and provide them with something that she did not have when she was young, since she used to be educated in a refugee camp in Italy. She wished everyone to help someone, once they are in the position to do so.
