ALEXANDER
On the day of their Family Patron Saint Slava, St. Andrew the First
Called, Their Royal Highnesses, Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess
Katherine, together with HRH Princess Elizabeth, will attend the holy liturgy
which will be held by His Grace Bishop of Sumadija, Father Sava, at St.
George church in Oplenac.
In the evening, THR will host the Slava reception at the old Royal Palace
(currently the Belgrade City Hall). On this occasion, His Holiness Pavle,
Serbian Patriarch is going to bless Slava bread and wheat in connection
with Family Patron Saint.

On Monday, 11 December 2000 His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander
attended and addressed the Conference of the European Commission on Aid
for the Western Serbia held in Cacak, after which he visited injured Mayor
Velimir Ilic in hospital.
Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine visited the Children’s Hospital
in Tirsova Street. Later Her Royal Highness participated in a joint Press
Conference held by the Federal Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health
of Republic of Serbia. It was announced at the conference that Princess
Katherine had been asked to accept position of the honorary co-ordinator
of the international humanitarian aid for Yugoslavia. Subsequently, Her
Royal Highness visited the Orthopaedic Hospital “Banjica” and donated a
ventilator, essential for maintaining vital functions.
On his way back from Cacak, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander
laid a wreath at the mausoleum in Lazarevac. He met with representatives
of the local authorities and visited the mines in Tamnava, where he had
talks with the miners.
HRH Crown Princess Katherine visited Serbian Ministry of Labour and
Social Welfare and held talks with the Minister in charge, Mrs Gordana
Matkovic. Princess Katherine also had talks with Dr Boris Stajkovac, head
of the project to help mentally sick children placed in Kulina, near Arandjelovac.
During the afternoon, Princess Katherine visited Paediatric, Geriatric,
and Nephrology wards of the Hospital in Zvezdara.
On Tuesday, 12 December, HRH Prince Alexander is expected to visit the
Belgrade University, Company “Politika” and Newspaper “NIN”, and municipality
of Stara Pazova afterwards. Itinerary of HRH Crown Princess Katherine
for the same day includes visit to the City Assembly and Clinical Centre
in Nis, Special Psychiatric Hospital in Gornja Toponica and Centre for
Handicapped Children in Kulina near Arandjelovac.

On Sunday 10TH December His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander and
H.R.H Katherine attended the Holy Liturgy at St. Sava’s Church of Vracar.
Afterwards H.R.H. Crown Prince Alexander had a meeting with the Governor
of National Bank of Yugoslavia.
H.R.H. Crown Prince Alexander paid a visit to Pancevo where he met a
representatives of local authorities, and later visited the oil refinery
and Monastery Vojlovica.
Her Royal Highness Princes Katherine visited neuro-psyhiatrich hospital
“Laza K. Lazarevic” in Padinska Skela. In the evening, His Royal Highness
Crown Prince Alexander had a meeting with representatives of the student
movement “Otpor”. Later in the evening, HRH Crown Prince gave a dinner
for eminent professors of Belgrade University.
On Monday 11Th decembar is H.R.H. Crown Prince Alexander will attend
a conference in Cacak on aid programmes to municipalities in Western Serbia
and will later visit the “Kolubara” mining complex.
On the same day H.R.H Princess Katherine will give a press conference
at the Federal and Republican Ministries of Health and visit Hospitals
in Belgrade. It is expected that Her Royal Highness will also have talks
in the Serbian Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.

H.R.H. Princess Katherine will meet on 11th December 2000 the Federal
and Republican Ministers of Health, and representatives of Government and
Non-Government organizations at a press conference that will be held in
the Federation Palace ( Bulevar Mihajla Pupina 2, New Belgrade) at 10 a.m.
H.R.H. Princess Katherine will visit at 12 a.m. the orthopedic hospital
of Banjica where the Princess will bring as a charity donation a ventilator
needed for saving patient’s lives.
