MILITARY MERIT MEDAL |
The Medal was instituted by Decree of December
21, 1883. It was aimed to reward the soldiers or reservists for "proven
service towards the King and the Fatherland", as well as for "exceptionally
prominent and zealous service during the time of peace, of emergency or
of war". It was conferred in single class, and was worn suspended from
a ribbon alternating blue and white stripes. |
