Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine officially delivered 33 hospital beds with mattresses and bedding to “Vozdovac” home, part of the Gerontological Center in Belgrade. The funds were collected in cooperation with the Humanitarian Organization Lifeline Toronto, Canada, whose patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine. The amount of the donation is more than 12,000 EUR.

“I am very glad that we are here again in the Vozdovac home, to hand over this valuable donation from Lifeline Canada whose patron I am. This donation consists of 33 hospital beds and the same number of mattresses and bedding. This donation’s value is more than 12,000 EUR and it was achieved thanks to Humanitarian Organization Lifeline Toronto, Canada. We were there last June, we are here today, and my husband HRH Crown Prince Alexander and I will keep helping this home and these lovely people in the future as well. I would also like to say that I am very proud of my Foundation that has delivered help to many institutions in the amount more than two million euros just from the beginning of this year”, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

In June 2017, Her Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Katherine also had delivered a donation of 40 hospital beds, mattresses, beddings, linen, towels, food and diapers to the “Vozdovac” home for elderly. The funds for that purchase, more than 18,000 EUR were raised at a charity event “Tea at the Tower” in Ontario, Canada which was organized in cooperation with Lifeline Canada Humanitarian Organization and Mrs. Georgina Kiraly, the Chairman of the organizing committee and her husband, Mr. Richard Sereda.

Today’s delivery was also attended by Mr. Nenad Neric, State Secretary at the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, Mr. Ivan Jezdic, director of the “Vozdovac” home and Mrs. Suzana Misic, director of Gerontology Center Belgrade.
