HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE HOSTS INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY LUNCH AT THE ROYAL PALACE

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine hosted today the traditional “Ladies Lunch” in honor of March 8 – International Women’s Day, at the Royal Palace in Belgrade. HRH Crown Princess Katherine organized the lunch for the ladies senior officials, the wives of senior Serbian officials, lady ambassadors, wives of ambassadors, representatives of international organizations in Serbia and other distinguished ladies.

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine welcomed the distinguished guests and emphasized the importance of the support from the present ladies when it comes to humanitarian actions and projects aimed at improving women’s health.

“Every day on this day I like to call upon all ladies to be united in promoting humanitarian activities and to do their best to make our environment better and more beautiful. On this occasion, let me announce the traditional Easter Bazaar of women refugees, as well as a reception for more than 1,000 children without parental care, and invite you to join in order to help these vulnerable groups. My foundation made a huge success during the last year by delivering medical equipment worth more than 2,000,000 dollars. One of the biggest donation was the 3D mammography machine worth $300,000 to the Centre for Radiology at the Clinical Centre Nis, very important for women’s health care. Dear ladies, mothers, grandmothers, please take care of yourself, stay healthy and love life”, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

Among the distinguished guests were Their Royal Highnesses Princesses Danica, Ljubica and Fallon, Their Royal Highnesses’ daughter Alison, Mrs. Betty Roumeliotis, sister of Princess Katherine, Mrs. Tamara Vucic, First lady, HE Mr. Aleksandar Vucic, President of Republic of Serbia’s spouse, wives of Minister Stefanovic and Minister Dacic, HE Mrs Narinder Chauhan, Ambassador of India, HE Dr Alona Fisher Kamm, Ambassador of Israel, HE Mrs Nada Al Akl, Ambassador of Lebanon and other distinguished guests.

Princess Katherine thanked all those who helped that this event took place: Leontina and “Carolija” choir, harp player Mrs. Dijana Sretenovic, Fashion House Mona, “Bean and Leaf” company for the delicious coffee and refreshments, Kovacevic Winery and Art Ival company.
