ROYAL COUPLE AT RECEPTION MARKING BEGINNING OF ARCHEOLOGICAL PROJECT “GLAC“

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine attended a reception marking the beginning of the archaeological project “Glac”, in the Old Palace.

The guests were addressed by the City manager Goran Vesic, Minister of Culture Vladan Vukosavljevic and Australian Ambassador Julia Feeney, regarding the launching of the archaeological project “Glac” in Serbia.

The joint Serbian-Australian team of the Archaeological Institute in Belgrade and the University of Sydney will carry out a five-year project of archaeological excavation, exploring the ancient villa on Glac. The location to which the project relates to is located near the archaeological site of Sirmium.
