CELEBRATION OF THE 200 ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST SERBIAN UPRISING ORGANIZED BY THE ROCKFORD INSTITUTE, OCTOBER 2003

HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II WAS THE HONORARY PATRON OF THE CONFERENCE

The Conference marked the 200th anniversary of the First Serbian Uprising and was held in Chicago 28 February 2004.

It was led by thought that the insurrection was not only an episode of local or regional significance but an event of all European importance. The Rockford institute organized a conference in order to mark the 200th anniversary that would have otherwise passed unnoticed by the American public.

Twelve participants from the Universities of Huston, Cambridge, and Belgrade etc. took part in the conference
