SINCE 2001
With the blessing of
His Holiness
Patriarch Pavle for
the first time,
“MOBA” was organized
in 2001. From the
very beginning, the
event came under the
patronage of HRH
Crown Prince
Alexander II. The
main host of “MOBA”
is His Grace Bishop
Lavrentije of Sabac.
The number of “MOBA”
attendees is around
300 per each year.
The goal of the
event is to gather
Serbian youth from
Serbia, the former
Yugoslav republics
and the Diaspora for
the mutual work and
socializing.
“MOBA” brings
together all
participants in
the St. Nikola
Monastery near
Soko Grad,
Ljubovija and
educates the
children from
the Diaspora to
learn more about
the Serbian
language,
Orthodox faith,
history and
cultural
heritage of
their ancestors.
Beside visiting
the Monasteries
of Sabac and the
Valjevo region
participants
also visit The
Royal Complex at
Dedinje, the
home of Their
Royal Highnesses
Crown Prince
Alexander II,
Crown Princess
Katherine,
Prince Peter,
Prince Philip
and Prince
Alexander.
