PATRON OF THIS CLUB SINCE JUNE 1993
The Royal Belgrade Rugby Club was
founded 20th December 1982, the
second day of St. Nicolas, by a
group of enthusiastic people like
the game.
The first name of the club was
“Belgrade Rugby Club” and the symbol
was a sparrow on a rugby ball. The
main idea was to develop and
popularise this game and work with
youth.
By a decree of HRH Crown Prince
Alexander II in 1993, the Club was
renamed to “Royal Belgrade Rugby
Club” and the symbol is The Crown of
The Karadjordjevic Family.
