ARE WE MATURE FOR THE MONARCHY?

These days the Serbian political situation is burdened by a great number of affairs and scandals, while the economic misery is increasing. The number of unemployed is in the millions, and the middle class almost does not exist. The majority of population lives under the poverty level. Inflation is the highest one in Europe…Serbia is far behind others counties in the region regarding development of new technologies, and above all, of the information sector. The fight for power between the parties and their coalitions, as well as the self-promotion of their leaders is put above the interests of the state and interests of the people.

This is happening in the time when the key negotiations about the final status of Kosovo and Metohia are getting closer. The State of Serbia is further and further from Europe, and the World. Now we do not even know the final dead-line for joining the European Union.

Divided and burdened by their own vanities, our politicians enter the resolving of these burning issues totally unprepared. All political options that exist in Serbia spend not only all their time, but are now wasting our time that was given to us from God.

It is time to say goodbye, goodbye for good, to the left-over’s of Milosevic’s dictatorship and his satellites, as well as to different citizens’ and petty-bourgeois’ options from post-Milosevic era. The hungry people had enough of the left-wing, as well as the right-wing politicians. Serbia is seeking for a third way.

Serbia needs material, spiritual and moral renewal. We should not experiment with the new ideas; it is enough to take the old, confirmed recipes’. While it was a kingdom, of Serbia or of Yugoslavia, our country was powerful, respected and recognized world wide. Our diners were something to be captured. Offers for credits were coming from all sides.

How can monarchy contribute to the return of the power and respect for our homeland? The Crown Prince Alexander II is related to all the European royal houses. He is 25th generation of descendants of Stefan Nemanja, founder of the family of all Serbs, who is the predecessor of many European ruling families. His godmother and a relative is Queen Elizabeth. The Spanish King Huan Carlos is a relative of his sons.

Not long ago, on the occasion of celebration of the 60th birthday of Alexander II, the most prominent people of our time gathered, among whom were the Royal Couple of Sweden, and sovereign of Luxembourg. Is there a politician at our political stage today who could gather so many outstanding people at one place? No, only His Highness can do that.

Crowning him a king, our country would get a sovereign who is not burdened by communist past, which is something that not a single former socialist country in Eastern Europe could be proud of. Everybody else, even if they were not socialist officials, have been educated and brought up in communist spirit, which must have left a lasting impression to their behaviour and ruling style. Also, he would be the only head of state from the area of former Yugoslavia who did not take part in the bloody wars.

Besides, HRH Crown Prince Alexander II is the one who should be invited to negotiate about the destiny of Kosovo and Metohia. Under the leadership of his grandfather, it was liberated in 1912 for the first time after five centuries of slavery under the Turks. Thus, we should bring back the monarchy that was taken away from us at the false referendum, thanks to the blind boxes and other forms of intimidations. And not just any form of monarchy, but a constitutional monarchy in which the king stands above political parties and their leaders. Above him are only the people and the mighty God. I call for every prominent man to join this correspondence. Without the King it’s not worth a thing!
