Interview HRH Crown Prince Alexander
Guests at a magnificent celebration
Among many celebrities of the world jet-set, like fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, actor Roger Moore, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, model Naomi Campbell, attended the Royal wedding in Monaco, where HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and former swimming champion Ms. Charlene Witstock from South Africa exchanged vows, were our Crown Prince Alexander and his wife Crown Princess Katherine. They were very pleased to be guests of honor at this lavish ceremony, gathering approximately five hundred guests.
- After the wedding ceremony of Prince William and Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey, my wife Katherine and I were waiting impatiently for the wedding of Prince Albert of Monaco and Charlene Witstock – says Prince Alexander for Hello! Magazine with a cordial smile.
The Serbian Crown Prince and his wife were very happy to attend this event. Crown Prince Alexander and Prince Albert are long-time friends, and our Royal Couple met his future wife at the wedding of Princess Victoria of Sweden. Besides the wedding ceremony, our Royal Couple has had the honor to attend the reception afterwards, as well as the gala dinner. The evening before Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine attended a very nice reception at the Hermitage Hotel, hosted by the counselor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
After the civil ceremony organized the previous day, Prince Albert II of Monaco and his wife Charlene Witstock organized a religious ceremony which was non-traditional in a way. The wedding mass started in the Throne Room of the Prince’s Palace in Monaco. The religious ceremony was attended by four thousand and three hundred guests. Among the distinguished guests were our Crown Prince Alexander and his wife, Crown Princess Katherine. The Royal Couple was in a very good mood, cordially greeting their Royal guests, as well as many celebrities. Prince Alexander, who looked very smart in his dark suit, gray vest and light-colored shirt, didn’t miss an opportunity to say hello to Swedish Princess Madeleine and Prince Karl Philip, designer Karl Lagerfeld, and enjoy their company. Crown Princess Katherine also looked extraordinary in her bright colored set, being on an equal footing with other members of Royal dynasties.
According to people present, wedding ceremony was glamorous, fulfilled with tender emotions. Crown Prince Alexander reviewed his impressions for Hello! Magazine.
- The wedding of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene was magnificent and an unforgettable event. My wife Katherine and I were very honored to be in a position to attend that event, especially due to the fact that we have a very close relationship with Albert and Charlene, says Crown Prince Alexander.
The Royal Couple, together with other guests, joined the newlyweds at the gala dinner at Monte Carlo Opera building. At the end there was a ball and fireworks. The next day brunch was organized at the Prince’s Palace for distinguished guests, and our Royal Couple was among them.
Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine came back to Belgrade to their regular duties full of wonderful memories.
