Text of report by Serbian news agency Beta Belgrade, 31 January: Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic today announced
that the Federal Assembly would, at its first session, propose a law that
will abolish the decree that stripped the members of the Karadjordjevic
family of their citizenship.
"We will propose that the Karadjordjevic family be permitted to use – until further notice - some of the official [reprezentativan] buildings, and primarily - should this be possible - the Beli Dvor," Djindjic said. After it was confiscated from the Karadjordjevic family, Beli Dvor was used by Josip Broz Tito, the president of the former SFRY [Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia], and by former FRY President Slobodan Milosevic.
