Monday April 5, 1999 Crown Princess Katherine of Yugoslavia - whose husband Prince Alexander heads the royal family of Yugoslavia exiled during World War II - spoke briefly before the congregation. ''The present leaders are responsible for this nightmare, not the people,'' Princess Katherine told The Post after the service. ''But the world is punishing the people. ''Serbian people don't understand why they're getting attacked,'' Princess Katherine said. ''What can an old person in a hospital, what can a baby do, when their leaders are deciding everything?'' |
