Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine visited today Pozarevac and Kovin, and donated Fiat 500L cars to each of the local health institutions. The cars will be used for transporting patients in need of therapy. The funds for the purchase of the cars have been provided thanks to Lifeline Canada Humanitarian Organization, whose patron is Crown Princess Katherine.

Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine first visited the Health Center in Kovin, and officially handed over the keys of a Fiat 500L to Sveta Vukadinovic, director of this institution. This car is a personal donation from Lifeline Canada Humanitarian Organisation board members, Djuka Gartner, in honor of the 90th birthday of her mother. Dr Vukadinovic thanked Their Royal Highnesses for this valuable donation which will be of great benefit to the patients and the staff at the Health Center in Kovin.

After delivering the car, the Royal Couple visited the Special Psychiatric Hospital, to which Crown Princess Katherine delivered a shipment of aid, including 400 mattresses, 400 bedding sets and 40 beds in March this year. This time the Crown Prince and Crown Princess donated plastic covers for the beds, in the amount of 6,500.00 dollars to the hospital, provided thanks to Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization, whose patron is Crown Princess Katherine.

During the day, TRH Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine visited the General Hospital in Pozarevac and delivered a Fiat 500L also intended for the transport of patients to the director of this health institution, Dr. Danko Nikolic, who thanked the Royal Couple for this very valuable donation, reminding the media representatives that the Crown Prince and Crown Princess donated 8 most modern “Stryker” brand intensive care beds to their health institution in January this year, in the amount of 4,270,000 dinars.

Their Royal Highnesses visited pediatric departments in Dom Zdravlja Kovin and Pozarevac General Hospital and gave parcels and toys to little patients before the upcoming Easter holidays. Toys were donated by Orbico Company, and Crown Princess Katherine’s Foundation thanks them for helping making children happy and bring smiles to their faces in these days before Ester holidays.

Crown Prince Alexander said he was very proud of his wife Crown Princess Katherine’s work and her humanitarian Foundation, which works tirelessly to improve the conditions in the Serbian health institutions.

Crown Princess Katherine thanked her associates from the Lifeline Canada Humanitarian Organization, which provided the funds for the purchase of the cars delivered today. She recalled that, thanks to Lifeline Canada Humanitarian Organization, whose patron she is, Fiat 500 L cars were also donated to the Health Center Kraljevo and the General Hospital Valjevo this month.

“My husband Crown Prince Aleksandar and I will continue to work hard with my friends from abroad to do as much as we can and help as quickly as possible the health institutions throughout the country, to the benefit of all citizens of Serbia” – said Crown Princess Katherine.
