“Serbian Royal Music of Karadjordjevic Dynasty” CD, performed by the pianist Jasmine Jankovic was presented tonight at the White Palace in the presence of numerous guests from the world of arts, science and culture. The promotion was organized in cooperation with the publishing house Metropolis Music.
“I am very happy and proud that Professor Jankovic and the record label “Metropolis” continued traditionally close relations between Serbian culture and the Serbian Royal Family through this edition. My wife and I congratulate the publication of this remarkable musical edition”, said HRH Crown Prince Alexander.
After the introductory words of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander, the guests were addressed by Professor Ljiljana Canic, editor-in-chief of Metropolis Music, Mr. Dragomir Acovic, Chairman of the Privy Council, Mrs. Aleksandra Paladin, musicologist and music critic and Mrs. Jasmina Jankovic, pianist.
The audience enjoyed the performance of the works of Joseph Schlesinger, Alojz Kalauz, Stanislav Binicki, with coffee and refreshments provided by “Bean and Leaf”.
The works that are dedicated to the Royal Dynasty Karadjordjevic represent the authentic image of Serbian piano music of the nineteenth and early twentieth century and provide a basis for the development of new stylistic language that marked the time that came later.
