CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER AT CELEBRATION OF SPECIAL ANTI-TERRORIST UNIT
Belgrade, 14 December 2011 – His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II attended today the celebration of the Day of the Special Anti-terrorist Unit (SAJ) at SAJ camp in Zemun. The celebration was attended by H.E. Mr. Ivica Dacic, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Mr. Milorad Veljovic, General Police Director and Mr. Sasa Vukadinovic, Director of Security Information-Agency (BIA).
SAJ marked thirty-three years of existence today. A monument was unveiled in memory of Unit’s members who lost their lives in line of duty.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander congratulated Colonel Spasoje Vuletic, commanding officer of SAJ and members of the unit on their superb skills and great courage.
SAJ is special police unit, highly trained in anti-terrorism activities. SAJ has a history of engagements in most difficult situations. The motto of the unit is a proverb of Zivojin Misic, a great Serbian General from the World War One: “Who dares, can. Who knows no fear,moves forward”. |
