NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WITH MINISTRY OF FOREGN AFFAIRS AND THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES
INAUGURATE INITIATIVE AT THE WHITE PALACE
Belgrade, 5 July 2011 – The National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED) in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine organized today at the White Palace the inauguration of the Ambassadors teams with the aim to promote Municipalities in Serbia with a favourable business environment.
The first five certificates to the Presidents of five Municipalities in Serbia with favourable business environment: Bujanovac, Leskovac, Pirot, Subotica and Vranje were handed in by HE Mr. Vuk Jeremic, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia. Ambassador’s teams were represented by the Ambassadors of Israel, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain.
NALED Ambassadors are leaders of the companies like Hypo Bank, VIP mobile, Ball Packaging, Tiger and Asecco, as well as representatives of the Embassies of Israel, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain.
Goran Jovic, NALED vice president, stated that NALED was promoting institutional reforms, creating a business environment conducive to economic development in Serbia for the past five years.
"Ambassadors initiative promotes the best from Serbia - the municipalities that have all the conditions for the successful business development will most likely attract new investments and encourage development of existing industry," said Goran Jovic
On behalf of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine, Mr. Dusan Babac, member of the Privy Council welcomed the guests stating: "I firmly believe that the outcome of this important gathering will, as we all trust, will increase investments to the Municipalities in Serbia and the advancement of the overall investment image of our country“.
The certification of business friendly municipalities is a process which promotes standards and enables the evaluation of service quality and information which local governments render to businesses. The certificate serves as a guarantee for investors that the municipality provides all the necessary support and conditions for realizing an efficient investments and further development.
In just a few years, NALED's Municipal Certification Program has become known and recognized by the most relevant national and international institutions and organizations. |
