CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE DELIVERS HUMANITARIAN AID TO SUBOTICA
Valuable donations to Home for children with disabilities “Kolevka”, Hospital in Subotica and all elementary and secondary schools

Belgrade, 28 October 2011 – Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine visited Subotica today where she delivered valuable donations obtained thanks to Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization, working under patronage of the Crown Princess and Euro Atlantic Corporation from Belgrade.

Princess Katherine first visited Home for children with disabilities “Kolevka” where she delivered a Peugeot Boxer Van, toys for children and dispensers with hand sanitising gel. At “Kolevka” HRH Crown Princess Katherine was welcomed by Mrs. Mirjana Cabric, Director of Home, Mr. Sasa Vucinic, Mayor of Subotica, Mr. Slavko Parac, President of Subotica Assembly and Mrs. Natasa Aleksic, President of the Executive Board of Kolevka, and many beneficiaries with whom she spent lovely time in conversation.

While addressing the present the Crown Princess emphasized: “I am very happy to have the opportunity to present you this valuable donation of Peugeot Van, obtained owing to the efforts of my Foundation Lifeline in Chicago. I would also like to thank Dr. Mandic, Director of Euro Atlantic Corporation who generously provided hand sanitizing gels for hygiene which is very important as prevention of diseases”.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine announced joint project between Her Foundation and Home for children “Kolevka”, to equip sensory room there. This project is of total value of around 2 million dinars, and HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation will use the money collected during HRH Prince Philip’s participation at Belgrade Marathon.

Afterwards, HRH Crown Princess Katherine visited Gynaecology Department of Subotica Hospital where she was welcomed by Dr Goran Bicanin, Director of the Hospital and Dr. Luka Andjelic, Head of Gynaecology Department. Her Highness made a valuable donation of wheelchairs, infusion pumps and dispensers with hand sanitising gel.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine addressed doctors and nurses at the hospital and said: “I am very happy to see that thanks to the efforts of doctors and staff this department is very successful in helping women and babies in Subotica.
