HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II STATEMENT REGARDING THE DRAFT LAW ON RESTITUTION

Belgrade 7, September 2011.  HRH Crown Prince Alexander statement regarding the draft Law on Restitution:

"It is obvious that the differences between all parties concerned, including the professional and private aspects, call for very careful consideration.

The public debate, which was unusually short and limited due to summer vacation time, failed to convince that the approach of the Proposer is generally acceptable, incontestable and reassuring regarding the future of the Nation.

If private property is treated as a limited right from the point of view of the alleged public good, that must be interpreted as a great setback for human rights issues in general ".
