ROYAL COUPLE AT TWO CENTURIES COMMEMORATION OF ALL HOLY MOTHER OF GOD CHURCH IN TOPOLA

Belgrade, 21 September 2011 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, accompanied by Mr. Dragomir Acovic, member of the Privy Council, attended the two century anniversary of All Holy Mother of God Church in Topola, and Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Saint patron day of the church.

His Grace Bishop of Sumadija Jovan served the Holy liturgy and after that the procession started through the streets of Topola.

Their Royal Highnesses attended ceremony in front of the City Assembly. HRH Crown Prince Alexander, Mr. Dragan Jovanovic, Mayor of Topola, and H.E. Mr. Alexander Konuzin, ambassador of Russia addressed the citizens.

The All Holy Mother of God Church in Topola was built by Karadjordje from 1811 to 1813.
