CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER AND CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE VISIT KRALJEVO AND LESKOVAC

Delivery of a Fiat Punto to Health Centre Studenica in Kraljevo, medical equipment for Leskovac hospital and official opening of the Kingdom of Serbia branch office in Leskovac

Kraljevo, Leskovac, 16 January 2012 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine visited Kraljevo today, and delivered a Fiat Punto to Health Center “Studenica” in Kraljevo as well as valuable medical equipment to Leskovac General Hospital. 

Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by Mr. Milomir Sljivic, President of Kraljevo Assembly, Dr. Dragan Arsic, director of Health center “Studenica” and Dr. Zvonko Veselinovic, director of Kraljevo Hospital. Besides the Royal Couple also present was Mr. Gerry Clarke, Commercial director at the Fiat Automobiles Serbia. The Royal Couple gave a new Fiat Punto vehicle to the Health Centre “Studenica”. This donation came from the initiative started at the humanitarian Fashion Show organized at the White Palace last year in aid of victims of Kraljevo earthquake, and was realized thanks to Fiat Automobiles Serbia. Their Royal Highnesses also visited the children’s wing and delivered toys.  

After the ceremony, Their Royal Highnesses went to downtown Kraljevo and walked through the recently renamed King Peter I Square. They have also attended the General Assembly of the Kingdom of Serbia association in this city, which was held at Kraljevo Municipality premises. 

Their Royal Highnesses then went to Leskovac and stopped at the Municipality building, where they met with Mr. Slobodan Kocic, Mayor of Leskovac, and Mr. Branislav Djordjevic, Deputy Mayor. After that they went to Leskovac hospital, where they were welcomed by Dr. Zoran Ceranic, Director of the Hospital and hospital staff. Their Royal Highnesses brought hospital beds and medical equipment, and then visited the children’s ward to deliver toys. All the material, toys and equipment delivered to Leskovac hospital were a donation of Lifeline Humanitarian Organization Chicago.

In the afternoon, Their Royal Highnesses attended an official opening of the Kingdom of Serbia Association branch office in Leskovac, and met with Mr. Dragan Stevanovic, coordinator of the office and members of the Association.
