THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES AND VLADE DIVAC VISIT ARANDJELOVAC AND TOPOLA

Belgrade, 31 August 2004 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine and Vlade Divac visited Arandjelovac and Topola today.

On behalf of Arandjelovac Municipality they were welcomed by the Mayor Mr. Radmilo Milosevic who introduced the guests to the town’s plans and expressed his gratitude to The Royal Family and our celebrated basketball ace for their constant care for our people, which can best be seen thorough such joint programs.

After the visit to Arandjelovac Town Hall, the guests went to the Health Centre where they delivered an incubator and an ECG machine.

Then they went to Topola were they were welcomed by the Mayor Mr. Tadic. In a short conversation he introduce The Crown Prince, Crown Princess and Mr. Divac to the further development plans of this municipality. He pointed out that Topola is a place of origin of The Royal Family who have always been with our people. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Petar Lassen of the “Opto International”, organization that is assisting Topola in its economic development program.

In his addressing to the present, The Crown Prince emphasized that the task of all of us is to work together to develop not only Topola but our whole country.

“We need new jobs, faster economic development, better standards of living, better social services and better health protection” – said The Crown Prince and thanked Vlade Divac for his generous assistance:

“Vlade Divac is a wonderful example of not forgetting our Homeland even when we are far away”.

After the visit to Topola and the Health Centre there, where they delivered an ECG and a “Lada Niva” ambulance, The Crown Prince and Crown Princess visited an Art exhibition of Mr. Pavle Jovanovic at the Topola Town Gallery, where they were warmly welcomed by the children wearing our national folklore costumes.
