AMERICAN SENATORS SPOUSES COME TO THE ROYAL PALACE

Belgrade, 11 November 2004 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Princess Katherine hosted a breakfast at The Royal Palace for the spouses of the American senators, the wife of Serbia and Montenegro ambassador to the United States and the spouses of ministers in the Serbian Government.

The senator’s spouses were Oregon Mrs. Sheron Smith (www.oregon.gov), Iowa Mrs. Barbara Grassley (www.iowa.gov), Ohio senator Mrs. Fran DeWine (www.ohio.gov), Wyoming Mrs. Diana Enzi, (www.wyoming.gov) and Mrs. Janet Voinovic. Their Royal Higness also received the spouse of the American Ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro Mrs. Hallie Polt (www.belgrade.usembassy.gov), and the spouse of the Serbia and Montenegro Ambassador to the United States Mrs. Jelica Petrovic (www.yuembusa.org).

The following spouses also attended the breakfast: Mrs. Marija Davinic Minister of Defence of Serbia and Montenegro, Mrs. Slobodanka Kojadinovic Minister of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, Mrs. Ana Vukcevic Minister of Diaspora in the Government of Serbia, Mrs. Mirjam Stojkovic Minister of Justice, Mrs. Radmila Hrustanovic the former Mayor of Belgrade. Mrs. Docal, Mrs. Green, Mrs. Eisold, Mrs. Hart and accompanied the American Senators wives. Also present Mr. Pilic representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Montenegro.

After breakfast, Their Royal Highnesses warmly received the senators from the United States, thanked them for visiting Serbia and Montenegro, and bade them farewell.
