ENTRANCE OF THE MOST HOLY THETOKOS – SLAVA OF THE CHILANDAR MONASTERY

Belgrade, 4 December 2004 - H.R.H. Crown Prince Alexander II has sent today his greetings to the brotherhood of Hilandar Monastery on the occasion of the Monastery’s Slava - Entrance of the Most Holy Thetokos into the Temple.

“I am sending my greetings today, when all Orthodox people celebrate the Entrance of the Most Holy Thetokos into the Temple, and when it is the Serbian Imperial Laura’s on Mount Athos Slava. I wish you to continue in peace and under protection of the Most Holy Virgin Mary your mission to our Lord, a mission which is of uppermost spiritual importance for our faith.

I send my wishes from the bottom of my heart that this Holy place, struck by the indelible tragedy, rises again. You will always be in my prayers for the resurrection and recovery.

What for each Christian believer the sacred name of the Most Holy Mother of God means, this is for the Serbian people, church and state the holy Monastery of Hilandar on Mount Athos, in the Mother of God’s garden and hearth of virtues and achievements.

Wishing that our holy Hilandar Monastery will be a beacon of the Orthodox faith through the Eternity, please accept my most sincere greetings” - the Crown Prince has stressed in his letter of greetings.
