CONGRATULATIONS LETTER TO THE NEWLY APPOINTED CHIEF OF STAFF OF THE ARMY OF SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO

December 24, 2004 – His Royal Highness Prince Alexander II extended his congratulations to the newly appointed Chief of Staff of the Army of Serbia and Montenegro, General-Major Dragan Paskas.

“It is my pleasure and honor to extend to you my most sincere congratulations on your appointment to the position of the Chief of Staff of the Army of Serbia and Montenegro. The duties placed upon you are of extraordinary importance and I hope that you will have all the necessary support and encouragement in your work. Our country needs peace, security, and stability, and our people need hope for a better future that is not only a possibility, but a close one. Please know that you can count on my full support in your future activities.”

HRH Prince Alexander II also congratulated the outgoing Chief of Staff of the Army of Serbia and Montenegro, General Branko Krga, who will be retiring at the end of his term. In his statement to General Krga, Prince Alexander said:

“Your efforts and actions to build peace, security, and stability in our country and for our people will be remembered for times to come, and will represent an important direction for those who follow your steps in defending our country and preserving its integrity.”
