60 YEARS ANNIVERSARY OF THE NEWSPAPER “JEDINSTVO”, KOSOVSKA MITROVICA

Belgrade, 23rd December 2004. – H.R.H. Crown Prince Alexander II sent his congratulations to the Director of “Panorama” from Prishtina on the occasion of celebration of the 60 years anniversary of newspaper “Jedinstvo” from Kosovska Mitrovica.

“I have a great honor to congratulate to you, members of the office, editors, journalists and all employees of the newspaper “Jedinstvo” for the sixtieth anniversary of publishing the first issue, this very important and unique jubilee in Serbian journalism.

The newspaper “Jedinstvo” is the only Serbian official publication in the area of Kosovo and Metohia, is responsible for informing the public about news in this region with its objective reports and impartial journalists.

I wish you to conquer high goals in the years to come, by promotion freedom of press, freedom of speech and protection of human rights, by working on good reputation of the people who read “Jedinstvo”, and the ones that “Jedinstvo” writes about. I am certain that you will continue to be objective informing maianting the highest standards”-the Crown Prince pointed out in his congratulations.
