INTERNATIONAL CUISINE DINNER AT THE WHITE PALACE
Belgrade, 25 January
2005 – Their Royal Highnesses Alexander II and Crown
Princess Katherine hosted an evening of International
Cuisine at The White Palace tonight.
This traditional event
was attended by over thirty Embassies accredited to
Serbia and Montenegro, and they presented the wealth of
the countries they come from with their traditional
dishes and desserts.
The Crown Prince
warmly welcomed the esteemed diplomatic guests. He
pointed out that this is a great opportunity to get to
know similarities and differences between our country
and other counties. The Crown Prince announced the
conference “Greece-Serbia and Montenegro Partnership
Initiative” www.partnershipinitiative.gr that is to be
held in Athens from 8 to 11 February, and expressed his
hope that this conference will set in motion the
business contacts of our country and other countries. In
addition, the Crown Prince expressed his thanks to Their
Excellences the Ambassadors for everything they do for
our country.
“I wish that that 2005
brings peace and prosperity to everyone regardless of
their ethnic or religious origins” – emphasized the
Crown Prince.
HE Mr. Carlos Abel
Maltese Ambassador of Argentina thanked Their Royal
Highnesses on behalf of all the present Ambassadors:
“Thanks to the
kindness and friendship of Their Royal Highnesses, my
colleges and I are filled with feeling that we are
welcomed here. I wish this year to be the year in which
we will show our solidarity with our brothers and
sisters who were hit by the natural catastrophe.”
HE Mr. Milan Parivodic
Minister of International Economic Relations (www.mier.sr.gov.yu)
said “Since Their Royal Highnesses came back to the
country, the traditional style of socializations and
patriotism was reestablished and I wish to congratulate
them from all my heart. I am working on integrating
Serbia into the stream of world economy, and you, Your
Excellences, are true missioners, because the messages
that you are sending to the countries you come from are
of great benefit for our country.”
For guests and hosts,
as a special surprise, AKUD “LOLA” www.kudlola.org.yu
that had celebrated 60 years of successful work,
performed a selection of dances from Serbia. Besides
Their Excellences at the night of International Cuisine
were also present Mrs. Carolyn Jungr Chief of the
Mission of the World Bank as well as the members of the
Advisory Bodies of the Crown. |
