ARMS FAIR “PARTNER 2005” OFFICIALLY OPENED

Belgrade, 2 February 2005 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II was present today at the official opening of the second Arms Industry Fair “Partner 2005”.

On behalf of the Ministry of Defense of Serbia and Montenegro www.mod.gov.yu, the organizer of this important fair event, and the Belgrade Fair www.sajam.co.yu, the Major General Milan Sunjarevic and Mr. Andjelko Tripkovic, the director of the fair warmly welcomed The Crown Prince.

Opening the Arms Industry Fair, HE Prvoslav Davinic the Minister of Defense emphasized his hope that our Arms Industry will start taking large steps towards winning the foreign markets.

“The Ministry of Defense is in the stage of reforms of our Armed Forces that will become modernized, high-tech equipped and ready to join the fight against terrorism. The production program of the Arms Industry is interesting not only for our market but also for foreign markets, and joining the Partnership for Peace is our best hope” – pointed out Minister Davinic and officially opened this fair event called “Partner 2005”.

The Crown Prince visited 35 domestic and 5 foreign stands at the fair accompanied by HE Minister Davinic, Major General Sunjarevic and Mr.Tripkovic, the director of the Belgrade Fair. During the visit, the Crown Prince spent time at the stand of “Mile Draginic Production” www.armyequipment.com domestic producer of equipment for the Army and Police founded in 1985.
