OFFICIAL DINNER IN HONOUR OF THE PRESIDENT BORIS TADIC ON THE OCCASION OF THE BEGINNING OF THE BUSINESS CONFERENCE IN ATHENS

Athens, 9 February 2005. - The greatest Conference ever been held in Greece is been organized by Lifeline Hellas Humanitarian Organization with the objective of further enhancing and develop economic relations and also the creation of cooperation among Greece and Serbia and Montenegro. The “Greece and Serbia and Montenegro – Partnership Initiative” Conference and Exhibition will be held at February 8, 9 and 10 at the Athens’s Hilton and at the February 11 in Belgrade.

During the official dinner organized at the Athens Hilton, in owner of H.E. Boris Tadic President of the Republic of Serbia, present were distinguished politicians from Greece and Serbia, Conference speakers, economic factors businessmen and journalist.

Besides H.E. Boris Tadic President of the Republic of Serbia, at the official dinner short speeches were delivered by HRH Crown Prince Alexander II of Yugoslavia, by the Conference Chairperson Mrs. Litsa Panayotopoulou and by the Conference Executive Director Mrs. Alison Andrews.

‘’Greece is one of the most important investors in our country and this tendency is on the increase. With a speedy transition, passing new reform laws, qualified and well-educated labor, and rich in natural resources Serbia is the most dynamic developmental market in South-Eastern Europe. It is up to us to make use of such advantages. As a President of Serbia I support all your investments, because they are a contribution to the strengthening of the stability in the region” – said Tadic in his addressing the present on the official dinner organized in his honor in the Athens Hilton.

HRH Crown Prince Alexander II greeted the present and emphasized in his addressing that “Many Greek companies are doing business in Serbia, but there should be more and more of it and this is why we wish to bring the Greek business people in Serbia. We are all living in a small part of Eastern Europe, and we do need each other as partners not only in the sense of the economical cooperation”.

Besides HRH Crown Prince Alexander II and HRH Princess Katherine of Yugoslavia, among the attendees were also HE Mr. Prokopis Paulopoulos, the Minister of Interior, Public Administration and decentralization, HE Mr. Panos Panayiotopoulos, the Minister of Employment and Social Protection, and general secretaries of Ministries, and members of The Greek Parliament.

In addition present were Mr. and Mrs. B. Tricardos, Mr. B. Chronis, from Latsis Group of Companies, Mr. Nikos and Varvara Vernicos, Mr. N. Nanopoulos from Eurobank, which is one of the Conference Sponsors, Mr.T. Arapoglou Governor of National Bank of Greece, another Conference Sponsor, Mr. P. Venieris from Coca Cola, conference sponsor, Mr. and Mr. Daskalopoulos, Mr. and Mrs. G. Kostopulous, Mr. K. Aloupis, Mr. D.
