STATEMENT OF HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II ON THE DEATH OF HIS SERENE HIGHNESS PRINCE RAINIER III

On the passing away of His Serene Highness Rainier III, the governing Prince of Monaco, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II expressed his deepest condolences to the new governing Prince, His Serene Highness Prince Albert, as well as to the daughters of the deceased sovereign, Her Royal Highness, Princess Caroline and Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie.

His Serene Highness Prince Rainier III was a long standing and sincere friend of the late King Peter II, Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine. Prince Rainier was a Knight of the Grand Cross of the Order of the Star of Karadjordje, and a man to whose personal devotion and efforts for the Principality of Monaco which must be grateful for its current prosperity.

HRH Crown Prince Alexander II and the members of his family express their deepest condolences to the people of Monaco and pray for the rest of the soul of His Serene Highness Prince Rainier III.
