BELGRADE XXVII INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FAIR

Belgrade, 13 April 2005 – At the Belgrade fair the XXVII International Tourism and Nautical Fair was opened. This unique and very significant tourist event in our country which was officially opened by the President of the Organizing Committee HE Bojan Dimitrijevic, the Serbian Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services, Mr. Mayocchi, General Director of the Fair in Milan, and Mr. Dragomir Acovic, member of the Advisory Bodies of The Crown were present at the opening ceremony.

During his addressing Minister Dimitrijevic pointed out that our country has exceptional tourist potential and that this will be an occasion for domestic and foreign visitors to be introduced to our rich tourist opportunities.

Mr. Dragomir Acovic, member of the Advisory Bodies of The Crown, passed on the greetings of HRH Crown Prince Alexander II and his wishes for the successful organization of this important event in our country, which this year gathered a great number of exhibitors: tourist agencies, associations and organizations, hotels, tourist centers, organizers of hunting tourism, airlines and international tour-operators from more than fifty countries, who will show their tourist opportunities in the best possible way to the Belgrade public in the next few days.

There was a cultural-artistic programme, organized for the opening, by the folklore ensemble “Kolo” and the actress Ana Sofrenovic, sang a song dedicated to the host city - Belgrade.

The Fair will remain open until Saturday 16 April.
