PRINCESS KATHERINE VISITED
KINDERGARTDEN “LIPA” AND WENT ON THE
TRIP TO THE VILLAGE JASA TOMIC IN
BANAT
Presents for children’s holiday
Vrbica
Belgrade, 23 April 2005 – Their
Royal Highness Crown Prince
Alexander II and Princess Katherine
visited kindergarten “Lipa” today,
on the Saturday of Lazarus, a
holiday more popularly known as
Vrbica.
Around two hundred children from
regular and special schools,
children hindered in development and
children without parental care
attended the show program in the
playground of the kindergarten,
after which they spent time with
Their Royal Highnesses who gave them
presents.
Addressing the present HRH Princess
Katherine warmly greeted everyone
and wished health and joy to the
children.
“The
children are the most valuable thing
we have, and it is our obligation to
try to keep the children healthy,
and to provide them with what is
necessary. Let’s all take care about
children and let’s love them. Today
is their holiday and let’s be joyful
with them.”
After
this visit Crown Prince Alexander II
and Princess Katherine headed
towards the border with Romania, to
the flooded village Jasa Tomic,
where they will deliver help to the
most jeopardized families. The
humanitarian help contains supplies
of food which are most needed.
During their visit Their Royal
Highnesses will visit the population
of this village in Banat whose homes
were flooded by the flood of the
river Tamis.
