STATEMENT OF HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II ON THE 60th VICTORY OVER NATIONAL-SOCIALISM

On the occasion of 60th anniversary on the victory over national-socialism, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II sends his congratulations to all those who were personally involved in the war for civilization and freedom, as well as to all their ancestors, contemporaries and everyone who consider themselves as the inheritors of the great ideas of democracy, justice and brotherhood for and between humans and the nations who first started the resistance to the tyranny of the political extremism and power of armed force.

The nations that paid the greatest price in human lives, cultural-historical monuments and material goods – and unfortunately our country, by the number and size of sacrifices, happen to be one of the most tragic ones – must never forget those sacrifices, regardless of the political and ideological option they belonged to, and ought to learn a lesson for the future and the strength for the fight for the realization of a better world, our world, a world worth living.
