HUMANITARIAN AID FOR JASA TOMIC VILLAGE

Two trucks of humanitarian aid for the flooded area in Banat collected in the great action of Red Cross - Italy and Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine

Belgrade, 14 May 2005 – Thanks to the great engagement of the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine and the whole-hearted help of Mrs. Maria Teresa Letta, representative of the Red Cross Italy, a new quantity of humanitarian aid arrived to the Banat village Jasa Tomic.

The humanitarian aid, which contains: food, bed linen, clothes, toys for children, gauze and hygienic material, was collected in the great action undertaken by the Red Cross Italy and delivered by trucks to the flooded village Jasa Tomic.

Mr. Ljubisa Rikalo, Mrs. Jelena Gadjanski and Mrs. Zuzana Perek, members of the Crisis Headquarters wished a warm-hearted welcome to Mrs. Maria Teresa Letta and representatives of the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine. They thanked in the behalf of the citizens of Jasa Tomic village, for this valuable donation, delivered today.

Today’s humanitarian event shows in the best way that there are no borders for friendships, because accidents happen and then one must react quickly and effectively.
