Belgrade, 26 May 2005 - HRH Crown Prince Alexander II and HRH Crown Princess Katherine visited today the Neonatology Institute on the occasion of the eighty year anniversary of this Institute, founded by Her Majesty Queen Maria, grandmother of HRH Crown Prince Alexander II.

On the occasion of this important jubilee, Their Royal Highnesses delivered two incubators worth 20.000 Euros, which are donations of HRH Princess Katherine’s friends from Switzerland and Mrs. Candy Rosen, member of a Serbian family living in USA, who was also present with her daughters on the occasion of the donation.

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine were welcomed by Prof. Dr Slobodanka Ilic, Director of the Neonatology Institute. Also, present at the official delivery were HE Prof. Dr Tomica Milosavljevic, Minister of Health and Prof. Richard Polin, Professor from Columbia University in New York, a longstanding friend and partner of this Institute.

''This day is a special one for me. Today you are celebrating 80 years of this Institute foundation by the grandmother of my husband, HM Queen Maria. My family and I are trying to continue the tradition that Queen Maria had started and therefore to help institutions that care about children. We will strive to fight for a healthier posterity‘’ - pointed out HRH Princess Katherine in today’s visit.
