LIFELINE HELLAS HUMANITARIAN DINNER IN ATHENS IN AID OF NEONATAL UNITS

“Evening beneath the Stars” under the Patronage of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine at the Embassy of Serbia and Montenegro for the children of Serbia and Montenegro.

Athens, Greece Wednesday 15 June 2005. A humanitarian dinner under the auspices of Lifeline Hellas (Patron HRH Crown Princess Katherine) took place last night at the Embassy of Serbia and Montenegro in Athens.

The hospitality of this special humanitarian evening was provided by HE the Ambassador of Serbia and Montenegro Dr. Dusan Batakovic.

The patrons were Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine.

The Greek Minister of Interior Mr. Pavlopoulos Prokopis was present.

The objective of this exceptional Humanitarian Gala is the continuation of fund raising to cover the urgent needs of medical equipment for the Neonatal Units of the children hospitals in Serbia and Montenegro.

Lifeline Hellas Humanitarian organization prepared and organized the dinner and the participation of two excellent musicians, pianist Mrs. Elena Christodoulou and the baritone Mr. Panagiotis Petrakis.

During the evening there was also an exhibition of artwork and paintings by Serbian artists, which were brought especially from Serbia. The net proceeds from the sale of these paintings will be in aid of Lifeline efforts.

Among the distinguished guests that came to this endeavour were HE the Ambassador of Greece to Serbia and Montenegro Mr. Michael Spinelis, HE the Ambassador of Switzerland to Greece Mr. Pierre Monod and his spouse, the Governor of Agricultural Bank of Greece Mr. Miliakos and his spouse, the General Secretary of Commerce Mr. Dimitris Vrettakos and his spouse, the General Consul from the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Platis and his spouse, and Mrs. Liza Evert.
