ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL SPECTACLE AT THE YUGOSLAV DRAMA THEATRE

Belgrade, 17 July 2005 – An artistic and cultural spectacle was organized at the Yugoslav Drama Theatre tonight, on the day of HRH Crown Prince Alexander ‘s birthday, performed by the National Orchestra and Choir of the Academic Cultural Society”Lola”, The Royal Strings of St. George (under patronage of HRH Prince Philip Karadjordjevic), the actors of the National Theatre and the National Ensemble”Kolo”.

Through music and dance, the program presented the national identity of our country in the best possible way.

Beside Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II, Crown Princess Katherine and Princes Peter, Philip and Alexander this unique theatrical and musical spectacle was also attended by the members of immediate family of Crown Princess Katherine, many foreign dignitaries, representatives of the political, cultural and public life of our country, members of the Advisory Bodies of The Crown and friends and admirers of The Royal Family.

The birthday celebration was heightened by Their Serene Highnesses Prince Philip-Erasmus and Princess Isabella of Lichtenstein (His Serene Highness is the brother of His Serene Highness Prince Hans-Adam II, the Head of State of Lichtenstein), Their Royal Highnesses Duchess and Duke Braganza (Portugal), Her Royal Highness Princess Chantal of France and Baron Francois-Xavier de Samboucy de Sorgue, Her Royal Highnesss Princess Katherine and Mr. Desmond de Silva (Princess Katherine is the daughter of Prince Tomislav), Their Royal Highnesses Prince Serge Karadjordjevic and Princess Elleonora (Prince Serge is the son of Prince (Knez) Alexander Paul), former President and Mrs. Frederic William de Klerk of South Africa, former Prime Minister The Hon Sir David and Lady Gibbons Lord Janner of Braunstone QC (House of Lords (Labour), Lord and Lady Renwick (Lord Renwick House of Lords (Labour).
