PETER I AT OPLENAC, TOPOLA

Member of Advisory Bodies of The
Crown, foreign and domestic guests
who by their presence heightened the
celebration of the 60th birthday of
HRH Crown Prince Alexander II,
visited the Foundation of King Peter
I at Oplenac.
The Royal Family and their guests
were warmly welcomed by the general
manager of the Foundation Mr.
Miladin Gavrilovic and his closest
associates and the people who
gathered in front of the Church of
Saint George to greet The Crown
Prince Alexander and congratulate
him his jubilee.
The distinguished guests among
whom were Their Serene Highnesses
Prince Philip Erasmus and Princess
Isabel of Lichtenstein, HRH Princess
Chantal of France and Baron
Fransois-Xavier de Samboucy de
Sourgue, HRH Prince Serge
Karadjordjevic and HRH Princess
Eleonora, Duke and Duchess of
Sergobe (Duchess of Sergobe is Maria
de Braganca of Portugal and Brazil),
mother of HRH Hereditary Prince
Peter, and TRH Prince Philip and
Alexander), as well as friends and
relatives of HRH Crown Prince
Alexander II had a chance to visit
the Endowment Church of St. George,
the house of HM King Peter I in
which he lived during the building
of the church, and and to get to
know the rich tradition of the
Karadjordjevic Dynasty as well as
with other details of our history.
After the short walk and visit of
the villa of HM King Alexander I,
for the esteemed guests and numerous
representatives of the press a
cocktail was organized in the front
of the villa where everyone had the
opportunity to enjoy in one of the
most beautiful views of the
surrounding, be introduced with the
beauty of heart of Sumadia and
complete the wonderful picture of
Serbia they created in their mind
during the visit of HRH Crown Prince
Alexander II.
