THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES WITH ORPHANS AT THE BASKETBALL GAME IN NOVI SAD

Belgrade, 21 September 2005 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine took sixteen orphans from several Belgrade Homes with them to the basket ball game of our national team played against France at the European Basketball Championship last night in Novi Sad.

The children were delighted with the opportunity to attend such an important sports event and to be introduced to our most eminent basketball players Vlade Divac, Aleksandar Djordjevic, Predrag Danilovic, and Zoran Savic. Beside the warm welcome of the organizers in the sports hall Spens, the children were greeted by Mrs.Maja Gojkovic, the City Mayor of Novi Sad.

Despite the great pleasure of Their Royal Highnesses, who were pleased to see the happiness on the faces of the children who were given the opportunity to be at this game, in the end everyone was very sad due to the failure of our national team, which ended the participation of Serbia and Montenegro at the European Basketball Championship 2005.
