RECEPTION IN HONOUR OF THE HELLENIC MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION

Belgrade, October 24, 2005 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine hosted tonight a reception at the White Palace in honour of the Hellenic Management Association (HMA).

It was organised in honour of this non-profit organisation and in support of its aims such as a dissemination, development and promotion of the principles, methods and practice of contemporary management.

HRH Crown Prince Alexander II greeted the guests while His Excellency Hristos Panagopulos, the Greek Ambassador to Belgrade, expressed gratitude to Their Royal Highnesses for their consistent work on bringing Serbia and Greece, including their business communities closer.

The other guests included Ms. Litsa Panayotopoulou, the HMA President, Mr. Tanasis Roulias, the HMA General Director, Mr. Simeon Tsomokos, the HMA General Manager for Serbia, HE Milan Parivodic, Serbian Minister for Foreign Economic Relations, the Serbian National Bank Governor Mr. Radovan Jelasic and representatives of the largest Serbian companies, Serbian and international organisations, as well as representatives of international and Greek companies located in Belgrade.

“The HMA exists for 45 years and has 4,000 members. We work very well in Greece and our aim is to offer our experience to Serbian businessmen,“ said Ms. Panayotopoulos.

Minister Parivodic said that it was “of great interest for Serbia to have a systematic way for breeding managers who would then fight in the global business arena.”

The reception was an opportunity for the business community leaders to exchange experiences and explore the possibilities for future cooperation.
