Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine attended last night the
opening ceremony of the
50th Belgrade International Book
Fair
The well known Serbian poet Mr.
Ljubomir Simovic opened this year’s
book fair, while, Ms. Vesna
Goldsworthy, a UK’s contemporary
writer of Serbian origin, welcomed
the guests, publishers and visitors
on behalf of Great Britain, the
honorary guest country of the 50th
Belgrade International Book Fair.
Their Royal Highnesses met and
talked with His Excellency Miroljub
Labus, Serbian Deputy Prime
Minister, Mr. Predrag Markovic, the
Serbian Parliament Speaker, Mr.
Andjelko Trpkovic, the Director of
the Belgrade Fair, the
representatives of the Serbian
Orthodox Church as well as with
their excellences ambassadors who
also attended the opening ceremony.
Crown Prince Alexander II and
Princess Katherine visited some of
the book stands and talked with
publishers and citizens.
The 50th International Book Fair
in Belgrade will be opened until
October 31.
