STUDENTS AT THE ROYAL PALACE
Belgrade, November 20, 2005. –
Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince
Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine met today at the Royal
Palace with a group of 47 electrical
engineers, members of the Electrical
Engineering Students’ European
Association (EESTEC) and the
international Institute of
Electrical and Electronics Engineers
(IEEE).
On behalf of the guests from
Spain, Greece, Croatia, Bosnia and
Herezegovina and other countries,
the group leader, Mr. Aleksandar
Petrovic, presented Crown Prince
Alexander II with a letter of
gratitude for Their Royal
Highnesses’ help to the education in
Serbia and Montenegro.
“My wife and I are trying hard to
help the education in our country.
Amongst other things, we
traditionally, once a year, award
the top high school students from
across the country so that they know
that their success has been noticed
and appreciated,” Crown Prince
Alexander II told the students.
“We are particularly happy that
you come from different countries
because we respect people of all
ethnic and religious groups,” he
added.
HRH Crown Princess Katherine told
the students about concrete
projects. “We will have established
job centres at the universities
where all information will be
available to both future employees
and employers.”
The visiting students then toured
both palaces at the Royal Compound.
