CHRISTMAS HUMANITARIAN EVENT IN ATHENS ORGANISED BY LIFELINE Athens, 1 December 2005 – The Christmas season started 1 December with a Humanitarian lunch organised by “Lifeline” Humanitarian Organisation at the “Grande Bretagne” Hotel in Athens under the patronage of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Yugoslavia. It was a unique event organized for the second year in a row by Lifeline Hellas and it has now become an established charitable event for Greece. The event includes the participation of Greek companies who support this humanitarian endeavour. Each company was responsible to decorate their own table with its own creativity and taste, creating an exquisitely beautiful outcome. The luncheon attendees were welcomed by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine followed by the President of the Board of Directors of Lifeline Hellas, Mr. John Trikardos, and they gave a special flavour to this event with their speeches. There was also a magnificently decorated hall where the participating companies exhibited their products. During the event whose slogan was “from children for the children”, the attendees had the opportunity to buy Lifeline Christmas cards created by children from orphanages and mentally handicapped children from Serbia and Montenegro. Lifeline Humanitarian Organization supports and assists all those in need in Serbia and Montenegro leads the Christmas season in Athens with this successful humanitarian event, a luncheon which Lifeline plans to establish on an annual basis. Among the attendees were H.E. the Ambassador of Serbia and Montenegro Μrs Ljiljiana Bacevic, the Mayor of Athens Mrs Dora Bakoyanni was represented by Mrs. Tonia Kanelopoulou Vice Mayor for Social Services and Health, Mr. Thanassis Kouloumpis General Secretary Ministry for the Environment Physical Planning and Public Works, Mrs. Ioanna Despotopoulou General Secretary Ministry of Health and Public Solidarity representing the Minister Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis, Mr Christos Dentomas Vice Mayor of Athens, Mrs Sissy Pavlopoulou wife of the Greek Minister of the Interior, Mr. Odysseas Kiriakopoulos, President of Greek Industrial Association, Mrs Lisa Evert, and many other individuals.
