LAUNCHING OF NEW POSTAL STAMPS
“MUSEUM EXHIBITS”

Belgrade, December 9, 2005 – TRH
Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown
Princess Katherine organised today
the launching of a new series of the
postal stamps called “Museum
Exhibits” inspired by valuable art
collection from the Royal Palaces in
Belgrade.
Co-organisers of this unique
presentation at the White Palace
were the
PTT Serbia and “Jugomarka”
www.jugomarka.co.yu. The guests
included Mr. Dejan Jovanovic, Deputy
Minister of Economy for
Telecommunications and Post, Mr.
Milan Jankovic, General Director of
the PTT Union of Serbia and
Montenegro and Mr. Dragan Kovacevic,
General Director of the PTT Serbia.
“I am especially honoured to have
the opportunity to attend this
extraordinary presentation thanks to
Their Royal Highnesses,” Mr
Jovanovic said.
Mr. Kovacevic said the decision
to bring those museum exhibits to
the broad daylight was motivated by
the fact they had been away from the
public eye for long time, while Mr.
Jankovic added that both in cultural
and artistic sense, those motives on
the stamps represented the state
treasure.
“I am happy because these stamps
will go around the world as of today
to become the ambassadors of our
country and represent it in the best
possible way. It will be continuity
and a meeting point of both
traditional and contemporary in a
new image of our country, which we
all together should contribute to,”
