HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR GREETINGS

Dear Citizens,

At the time when another year comes to an end, a year which has been marked by efforts for economic recovery and development, prosperity of the country and much diplomatic activity, we are faced with a New Year which will be full of vital issues. Important issues will have to be resolved in the New Year as they will have a great influence on the future of our country.

The issues are Kosovo, State Union (Serbian and Montenegro), international obligations and European integration. Due to the great significance of all these issues I am appealing for unity for all those who will participate in the negotiations. I am also appealing for harmony of all participants of political life when it comes to national interests. Only through unity will we have credibility in our own eyes and in the eyes of the world.

Our aim has to be the preservation of the sovereignty of our country, but also our contribution to stability and development of Europe and the World. All this must be done for the sake of a better and more beautiful life for mankind.

I wish all citizens Happy New Year, good health, success and happiness.
